For more than 15 centuries, pilgrims to Rome have visited seven churches in the city honoring St. Peter, St. Paul, St. John the Baptist and St.John the Evangelist, St.Lawrence the Deacon, St. Sebastian, the Holy Cross and Mary, the mother of Jesus. They receive a message of faith and inspiration in these holy places. In this DVD Passionist Father Victor Hoagland presents the treasures of these ancient churches and introduces modern pilgrims to their colorful history. We meet the Apostles Peter and Paul, founders of the Roman church; Lawrence the Deacon, who died serving the poor; Sebastian, the soldier saint, who reached out to prisoners. The Church of St. John Lateran was the site church government for centuries. The Church of the Holy Cross tells the fascinating story of Helena, the woman who searched for the Cross of Jesus.
